View Full Version : Mum taken to hospital

Right I'm expecting flamers/trolls/whatever. I myself do not know why I am posting on a saxo forum, but I think it might help to talk about it.
However my mum has just been taken to hospital as she is majorly suffering from god only knows what. I think that's the worst part of it for me, I don't know what it is therefore can't help her. She is on a cocktail of medicines and when asked by the medics on a pain rating, gave 10/10.
Also my shock hasn't set in at all. In fact I don't know what to think.
I will take all knocks on the chin, like I say I am expecting them. I must add in there the medics were awesome, swift precise and thorough.
I kinda feel like I want to cry but can't. :n:

Sorry to hear about this dude, but keep strong.
My mum was constantly being rushed to hospital and it's the worse feeling in the world... You have no control over what's going to happen and there's no help you can give her.
Just see her as much as you can and be there for her :y:

Try and get some sleep mate.
You'll go out your mind being awake and see if you can get off work tomorrow... I'm sure they'll understand?

My dad was in and out of hospital over christmas back in 2006, I was only 17. It was horrible, all sorts kept going wrong. No-one knew what it was. Just keep strong, try and get some sleep, I've been there and trust me you need sleep or you'll be just as bad.
Hope everything works out ok

This is the kindest saxp thread I've seen!
If it was bad they'd have contacted you. Try to work, and see if you can ring the hospital at lunch time.

It can be pretty slow progress especially if they don't know what the underlying problem is. They will put her on a medical admissions unit whilst they decide the best plan for her care.
I hope everything goes ok. If you want to ask any medical questions don't hesitate to contact me! :)

I can only say thank You to everyone for your kind words. I was a wreck yesterday. My head was all over the place. Didn't actually get any sleep in the end. Was like a zombie.
Had a phonecall at work to say she was heavily sedated, and tests being run. That's all the info I have had given to me. I will phone again to see if they plan on keeping her a while more.
Again massive thanks to everyone for the support. I looked back at the first post and realized how stupid it was to post this on here, but like I say my head was/is a mess.
My regards to everyone. Hydro.

Its not silly its nice sometime to just talk to people that aren't in your "circle" if that makes sense, as in from outside the situation.
Once again all the best!

Heya Hax, yes she a fair bit better thanks. She's out of hospital purely because she couldn't stand it in there. However she has got to go back for some diagnostics. Turns out it is her lungs and heart. The heart problems run in the family :(.
While I'm here thank you everyone for your kind words and support. Just knowing she is back for the time being has calmed the mind a bit. It was a scare for sure.
