Evnin, new to the site as well as saxo's altogether, basically I pinky mercedes 190e up for sale and got offered a swap for a vts at first I was hesitant as I wasn't a fan of them, regardless went and had a look, it's very clean but not standard ha 17 inch alloys lowered tinte lights and induction filter, got a couple if questions tho, first off the airbag light flashes on and off consistently the owners said this is a common fault for saxo's but doesn't sound right to me said it was something to do with the connected under te drivers seat, had a fiddle with it and no change, can anyone clarify this? Second what's te valuations like on vts's? It's a w reg with 111k miles and 4 months mot very clean body and paint work, I I can il uploa some pics along side this topic tomorrow, cheers if anyone can help! :)

Firstly welcome! With saxos if they have been modified in the way you have said the likely hood is that they have been raped in their life. Pretty high miles for the age, has it any service history? Main thing to do is check for rust if the mot is due soon.

Full English please.
Uploading pictures would be good.
Airbag problem is possibly a connection problem, I'm not an expert at that though..
Also I take it youre here from topgear

I did assume on the same lines about it more then likely being ragged everywhere, it has a bit of service history mainly main dealer, iv checked the usual places that I check on any car, arches sills scuttle etc as u said I'm unfamiliar with saxo's are there any commonrust areas with them? Also it's a sunroof model as well if that makes any difference?
Thanks

If the engine hasn't been serviced regularly or recently or has nothing up to 111k then I would probably steer clear. Rear arches, boot floor, under the battery tray, under the ECU tray and um check the seal around the sun roof as they can leak.

£500 - £800 depending on condition etc? I personally wouldn't give a lot as it been modified in a 'chavy' way. Its the mileage and lack of service history that would put me off.

Lol yeah at least you have a reason
The Topgear remark was because a certain car (Saxo) beat the other chosen cars in the 'challenge'
