yes very wrong, you just need a new clutch arm.

Most likely going to weld it for now, i just hope it holds up! Slightly annoyed to say the least , gives me some time to wire up my angel eyes on the other hand! Thanks for the speedy replys anyway.

if you get someone who knows how to weld it should hold up, cant see why it wouldnt.

My dads going to do it tomorrow so fingers crossed ! , any ideas how to take it off? would make welding much easier, if not we will just have to dig into the engine bay as it sits.

have a look on the spindle part, there should be a pin (i think) you can push out

yep weld should be perfect, just dont let the bar get too hot as im fairly sure theres a plastic bush where the arm goes through the box which may melt ;)

As said there is a pin you punch out to release the arm, so could take it off, weld it and re fit, or buy a replacement one.

I wouldn't weld it, if this is the control arm which does the left and right movement then pop the roll pin out and buy a new arm from Citroen...probably like £20 for the arm and less than a quid for a new pin.
Welding might cost that and not last as long as a new one.
