Ok, you ever have one of those days ? Today was mine. Aside from my battery dying and what not, I fucked up the simplest of jobs. Bear with me, cause most guys would try and blame it on The gf lol. So I'm jumping my car from the misses fiesta, not paying attention, someone drives past chatting to me. I connected the terminals wrong on her car (epic fail, retarded etc., I know) it just happened. massive spark. I shat myself, luckily both cars are fine. Someone wanna tell me how close I was to frying one, if not both cars and my face..... ? or if there's gonna be any lasting damage ?

i done the same to a ford mondeo years ago, same as you wasnt paying attention properly, big spark, pooped my pants but that was years ago and never heard anything back so i think youll be ok m8 lol

Just count yourself lucky mate,a few years ago at my local petrol station there was a guy trying to jump start his car right next to the petrol pump.To make matters worse he was having a fag at the same time.(true story)Having a dad whoe`s an ex fireman I nearly flipped big time at the guy.

The misses car seems ok and mines starting up now. I felt like such a twat, rightly so but like you guys say, easily done when you take your eye off the ball. The spark was big enough to make me dive for cover. I was praying I hadn't fucked her car up. what actually happens then, when you do this for the spark to bolt out ?

probably just shorted it out, more modern batteries have safeguards anyway to prevent lasting damage so it'll be fine. as long as you learnt its fine xD

Im so glad it didnt explode.... my misses only JUST had a new battery in hers. If i fucked it she would not have been impressed at all.
