What does everyone pay to have alloys added to their policy?

Title was meant to be; Claiming Alloys
Not Caliming Alloys.

My last insurance company covered them for free if they were below the value of £500. However, having declared my coilovers last night, I was told that they would NOT pay out for them in the event of an accident.

I wonder if wheels are the same?

Never declared any mods since starting driving back in 2000

you'll find declare it, and in the event of an accident they replace.
dont declare it, in case of an accident you will get standard parts.

or void.

ive never come across a company where they'll replace the mods as they were if you have an accident. They hike up the price for mods, but in the event of an accident, it always seems to be replaced by standard parts.

My old GTI had VTS alloys which cost like £13 but having 4 years NCB helps :)

Every time I add a mod it seems to cost less than £20 to declare.

Asked about cams and a remap and they said £45 so not bad.
