Basically i have no airbags in my car due to having a different steering wheel. So removed everything associated. Now iv come to putting the standard seatbelt back in as iv been using harnesses but i see the pretensioner is attached to the seatbelt?
Is it ok to run without it or should i get some other seatbelt clips (iv got some astra mk2 ones which dont have the pre tensioner)
And bolt these to the seatframe instead?
thanks for any help

If i`m reading this right then as I understand it its possible to bolt the saxo pretensioners complete with the seatbelts to your subframes.I`ve heard other people doing this with no probs at all.As the pretensioners aren`t connected to anything electrical you won`t have any issues mate.

The pretensioners contain an explosive charge that fires your airbag in the event of a crash.:drink:

^^^^^^ just so you know, they do not fire your air bag..........
they fire with your air bag, they tighten the seat belt to pull the driver back in to the seat for extra safety.

ah thats pretty clever actually! So it tigthens in the event of a crash so you dont go forward til it locks?

Which is why they have a warning on them about an explosive charge.:fcuk:Can`t remember the exact words when I last changed one but there was a warning on it.

yeah as said, they tighten your seat belt buckle as far down as possible in attempt to tighten your seat belt to get you in the right position for the airbag ;)
they should be fine to run without plugging the pretensioners in. Just means they wont fire off in a crash.
