The fact that its leaking means it's worth replacing. All the shit you add to the coolant just blocks everything up like the rad the heater matrix for the blowers.

it went on my old vtr, you can get cans of shit to chuck in with the oil but it's pretty crap to be honest.
How bad is the leak? I drove mine around for ages with a screwed gasket, then flogged it for spares

It will eventually sound like a scooby. Get a gasket and do it, you can get a gasket cheap enough and they are easy to do...... walk in the park.

Leave it if its oil, I left mine for ages, just keep an eye on the Oil Levels, if it was water/oil mixture in the Rad/Engine then I'd worry, seeing as its just oil spewing out the side, not a problem.
Might cost you £40 in oil between now and August, but its better than a garage bill.

If its the front of the block over the alternator you should be OK to keep driving it, minding the oil levels providing its not gushing out. A gasket kit can be had for £40 from ebay with bolts, providing you've got a torque wrench to do the bolts with. You could get away without a reface of the head if its not overheated and as you dont give a shit about the car as its going soon
