hi guys and girls
after a little help so joined up here, while searching my problem this comes up top trumps. so here goes
Saxo VTR on 51 plate 80K
Car is over revving on idle and slightly when in gear (getting a bit of pull while moving)
when car idle rev's shoot up to 4000rpm
when car in gear and moving I think its giving an extra 2000/3000rpm
Have read the post on here by furioAL, and changed the coolant temperature sensor (mine was blue and not green) don't know if that makes any difference
I have also noticed there a very slight oil leak from drivers side of the sump pan
thought i would seek some advice to see if these factors make any difference before replacing the idle actuator valve
any advice or theories will be much appreciated
