just a quickie.

is the vtr fuel pump same as 1.4?


done a conversion from 1.4 to vtr so would it be better to get vtr fuel pump or run on the 1.4 one?

I know a 1.4 pump will run a vtr but would it be better off running it on a vtr pump

im not sure if there the exact same but i put a 1.1 fuel pump on my 1.6 vtr and it ran perfect

Im sure there would be a slight dent in its performance. Nothing too major. If your OCD about it then yeh, change it.

well i managed to get one from scrap yard anyways but im just curious to know if it vital.
a mate was running a gti with a 1.1 pump, when he got a gti pump he said it felt faster. dunno if that was just his mind playing tricks as its what he hoped it would do.

I changed the fuel filter hoping it would go that little bit faster :P

i never bothered changing my fuel pump when i converted from 1.1 to 16v and there isn't a problem
