Please reply changing pads and discs ?????????????????

Ok so bought myself shiny new pads and discs today, to cut long story short got to the part of putting in the new pads and it would seem as if the pins are too small or the pads are too thick as i cant get the new ones on or even the old ones for that matter??? I have already wound the piston back into the caliper , the car is a 1.0i saxo 1999 3stud

can u give me a brief step by step how u did urs ive done pads and discs before on a corsa with no problem but it seems like the pads are to big but i know theyre not but thats the kind of impression it gives u, as i say ive put the piston all the way back into the caliper the discs on no problems but cant get the pins in the pads and re assemble as the pads again seem too big ????????????????

I changed my pass side slider pin and clip things today.. (was meant to the other week btw)

I just twisted it on and then forced it round straight. Then pull the bit over the pad. Jobs a gooden.

Tap them in with a hammer or file a bit of the lug off thats causing the issue. No silly suggestions, hammer was a perfectly reasonable suggestion.

wire brush everything down!
the pin, the carrier and anything else that comes into contact with anything else! so all surfaces are clean.
grease contact patches
and try again!

if anything seems to stiff, a gentle tap with a hammer will be fine. but dont twat anything as the impact could damage something.

What pads are they? they should be the square shape ones with 2 holes and the 2 pins that knock through the caliper and the car being 3 stud. As said give the pins and pads a wiggle and a gentle tap with a hammer then once they start just knock them in flush to the caliper. To be honest they are the most easiest pads to change.

yip mate, thats the pads i have bought the bit im stuck on is when i put in the first pad that goes behind the disc all fine and dandy come to putting on the second pad that is visible from just looking at the disc and the pins wont reach that far to go through the holes in the 2nd pad???? sory this is as good as i can explain thanks
