Sup folks, I've had my Saxo for well over a year now but never got round to making a thread. I bought it when I was 18 as I desperately needed my own wheels instead of borrowing the old mans car constantly. I'd wanted a Saxo for a while, and was looking at buying a furio for the more youth friendly insurance. However my dad showed me this advertised on autotrader within budget, and after getting a few quotes it turned out that a vtr was barely any more to insure than a furio. So I snapped it up and here's how it looked when I first got it.

Admittedly the appearance was more to devo's taste than mine. I found some standard rear lights as soon as I could, and set about saving for new alloys, as the tsw's were ugly, kerbed and too big for my liking. However this was then put on hold as the rear axle decided that camber, knocking and huge amounts of play was the way forward, so that was quickly swapped.

With that sorted I could concentrate on buying bits that I actually wanted, although progress was slow due to student funds. I don't have many pictures at the moment, but here are a few showing how she currently looks.

The mods that I can recall so far are:

Lowered, unsure of how much
Pipercross induction kit
Black Vts alloys
4 branch manifold, not sure of make though
Supersprint centre pipe
Kam racing backbox
Corbeau boss seats with sabelt harnesses
Resprayed grill and chevrons
De-wipered at rear

Opinions and comments welcome!

Cheers lads. Yeah I think they look sweet in black, it was between black and icelandic blue for me.
And nah no back seats, my mate sold me the buckets and harnesses at a steal so I decided to strip the back. With all of the local speed bumps and potholes I don't really miss having passengers in the back to be honest haha.

Thanks mate. Yeah I don't like to think how much I spend on fuel to be honest! Saying that I was surprised at how good on fuel it is though, even with less then steady driving.
nice motor mate.
Cheers pal :), it needs a few little bits sorting and tidying up though which I'll get round to soon.

Not bad with over 1/4 of a tank and clutter in the back.

The luxurious interior, painting the boot floor should tidy it up a bit.

Thought it was time for my annual update, haven't been on for a while. Made a few changes since then, chief among which are the rallye steelies, or technically vtr spare wheels which I acquired for a steal and sprayed up.

I also ditched the fluorescent badges in order to appear less of a luminescent badlad.

The interior is back to its full former glory, with the addition of a sparco steering wheel. As you can see it didn't come with the centre cap, so the bear will fill this role for the foreseeable future.

Besides the visual differences, the car now has apex dampers all round, as the standards were pretty shot. I didn't know how long the car had been lowered on the standard dampers prior to me buying it, but they'd had their day. With the apex dampers it feels so much nicer and controlled to drive.

The decat manifold met its unfortunate end when it was crushed to death, so it now runs a 4 branch with a cat which I picked up used to get it through the mot. Sounds better and louder than it did with the standard manifold but has lost some of the cheeky rasp the decat gave it.

I also ditched the pipercross induction kit and fitted a standard airbox and ducting, which is a decision I don't regret. Feels much more free revving and responsive.

I don't have many plans at the minute, needs a few tatty areas sorting. I am considering some hubcentric spacers for the rear as the wheels look a bit too tucked in the arches in my opinion, but want to save up for a decent set. Too many horror stories.

Why thank you, I get that a lot aha. The bear I fear could become a permanent feature, I've got used to it staring at me when driving now.

haha thats good then! ive always had a mascot, not got one for my Saxo yet, normally get somthing themed to where the country the car was manufactured.

But yer very nice, and what you said about Black & Icelandic being the best colours, i agree.. i have a Icelandic ;)

Not a bad shout. I could hang some onions from the mirror but I'd be scared of it catching on in the vag scene.

Icelandics do look sweet, also just noticed you're from Doncaster which is where I bought the car from. Hopefully you've never seen it being ragged around on a halfords car park haha?
