We always used to drink on West Street.

There's loads of decent bars up that end of town or at least there used to be. Haven't been for a while now though.

serious?

Plug is awesome. Embrace is cheesy but full of student filth. Most bars up west street and devonshire green are decent, plus the usual chain pubs like revs, llyods, yates etc.

hahah must be joking, use to go to Embrace when it was Kingdom back in the day, just cheesy crap in every room you go in.

For bars head to West Street, full of bars and takeaways, in terms of clubs depends what your into, Leadmill has a decent mixture of music although its not the biggest club in the world, Plug was pretty good from what I remember although my personal favorite was Corperation, but thats mainly rock music and can be seen by some as a bit of a dive. My club knowledge is a few years out of date however so some of the above could have changed.

Sheffields awesome considering it's not a 'clubbing capital' of the country.

Been to quite a few events at the plug, leadmill, tuesday club etc...

I said I 'heard' it was good... I really couldn't give a fuck if it was or not.

I don't plan on going on a night out there...

Most bars on west street are good.

Depends what your taste in music is, regarding clubs.

Cheers for all your advice people, so by the sounds of it, if we head to west street we're gonna have a good night? My mates booked us a hotel right near walkabout, is that a decent place to start? Because in Derby thats where everyone starts lol

walkabout is ok, but can be quiet. Not a bad place to start. Best bet is to go up and down west street and just stick your head in all the bars and see what takes your fancy music wise,
