My tracking went today on the M25 and took both my front Eagle F1's with it :(

I am in search for some new tyres and looking around the new but I don't have a clue about the brands and so on.

I don't take it on track I just use it for fast road and long motorway journeys, any suggestions boys?

Thanks!

Edit -

Photo of the tyres the wear is on both inner tyre walls.

Someone suggested camber? as the front is on 50mm springs, how do you adjust camber on a saxo?

I assume so, Ive never noticed it before?

Ive checked my arches and so on for rubbing, but can't see anything..

Both inner tire walls had worn down to the wire :/

That be right

i had a bloke in today, all 4 were fucked, 2 fronts where hanging out cords for about 4" across the centre
the rear were completely slick!

although i see this every day, it was his responce that really got to me.

"it just happened. wernt like it yesterday"

he didnt like my reply with, its been below the limit for over 1000 miles atleast!

i know its my job to keep vehicles road worthy - but i check my tyres every fortnight, tread, condition (regarding side wall / potential damage) and pressure.

i dont understand how people are so oblivious to their tyres :s

Truthfully though Tonts it was fine, as I drove on the M25 and got to my destination fine, I checked my tyres last week and they was fine. I drove it once to the shops within the week and that was that :/

you dont go from fine, to canvas from going to the shops...unless it was 300 miles away.

its been happening for a long time mate. not having a go, just sayin it takes longer to case that kind of damage than people think.

i.e my post above.

I was taking the piss when i said A048's. but no, the ones you linked clearly aren't A048's as they say S drive on the link, just in case you're still wondering.

Michelin PE2 if you want the 'best' all round tyre for a saxo.

what price are you thinking? i had uniroyal rainsport 2s but found them truly dreadful. now i have a pair of kumho ku31s on the front and they are fantastic

Those kumho's are a good tyre for the money, but personally i love my rainsport 2's . Much prefer them to the proxes t1r's and they are cheaper too. Just my opinion.
