The boot floor.would be the first thing to bend right?

yes usually. it would have a kink but thats all down to how hard the bump was

some times the passengers front door will bend

Depending on how hard the impact was the rear 1/4`s would crumple as well.

Because the car I've just put a deposit down on has a straight boot floor no damage to the underside or anything apart from....

The rear arches have a slight outward bend to.them from.running my hand over the inside of the arches. Whcih is puzzling me as everything else is straight

If you mean the wheel well in the boot then there is a bit of tar sound deadening stuck to the metal with the carpet stuck on top.

Okay, now im on a computer it should be easier to explain :)

On the rear arches about an inch from the bottom on the arch there is a very slight outward (towards the wheel) bend on each side.

They are around 5 inches across in diameter and are towards rear of the arch.

Ive been underneath the car and the carpet and everthing is straight and no signs of bending or a replacement floor being welded in, all doors including the boot shut square and true.

It's puzzzling the fuck out of me.

Maybe arches have been rolled (can you even do this on a saxo)?

Similar thing happend when I put my saxo on a roundabout I think the sheer imapact on the rear suspension/beam bottomed it out and pushed it all out of shape. There was no external damage at the rear btw.

Oh and it got worse to the point where I had to get spacers on the rear to stop the inside of the wheel rubbing. Boot floor also started to move and was partially held by the rear seat brackets. Come to think of it that car was a bit of a death trap lol.

Take the rear seats out and have a look. When I tried doing that in mine chunks of rust started falling out

Might be worth getting it checked out.
