I was wondering if anyone out there in the world of saxp can help haha.
I have been told by a friend that my lower arm at the ball joint has play and will fail its MOT(it seems to move up and down) like the bore is too big. I am wondering if there are 2 different bores for these? Any1 help? MOT is due tomorrow :wall:

If the ball joint has play, it means the actual ball joint is worn and it will most probably fail an MOT. You need to either get a new one pressed in or buy a new lower arm.

probs the rear rubber bush. either the one mounted under floor or the one bolted into the chassis then.
wait for the m.o.t to be done and let u know. but sounds like it's new arm time.

How much would that break the bank? would they notice it though?

If you can fit them, about 50 quid for a set of brand new wishbones, and yes they will check for play :P

Could be the hub is worn
It's not unknown for that to be the case, particularly if the wrong bolt has being used.
For a while (and still available on eBay) Citroen and Peugeot supplied pinch bolts that were fully threaded, these are incorrect and lead to play in the ball joint pin, and one of the reasons I started supplying pinch bolts
The thread rubs the pin the two surfaces wear down and cause play.
