If I remember correctly, they tried to hold it in Cornwall a year or so back.
Sold most of the tickets with the Venue as Cornwall, only to have the council refuse it.
So the event organiser then had to pay for Buses for everyone to be taken some place else ... No where near a beach :y:
Does that sound about right?

The event was due to run in St Agnes from June 16 to 19. It had been granted a licence but planning permission was refused by Cornwall Council five days before the set up of the site was due to begin. The unanimous decision at the meeting was based on concerns about traffic congestion, beach safety and the possibility of bats, a protected species, being on site.

Bats .... Our Council is so funny! No wonder Cornwall is DEAD :wall:

I think it was 2009 /2010, but was the same event though.
The music line up was shit anyway for that year, so offering free buses to Kent didn't really improve things.
Line up looks pretty decent this year, Student Haven :y:
