Annoying idle 1.1

Hi guys this is a problem with my mums 1.1 forte the idle is weird it keeps dropping and coming back only a little bit but it does her head in i've got a little 8 second video of the rev counter but phone decided to film it upside down but it gives you an idea

im thinking of cleaning the idle control valve but dont know how to disconnect the throttle cable can anyone tell me how and any other ideas of how to sort this problem out would be great :)

does it effect the car itself? it's not that bad. maybe give the icv a good clean out like you've said. theres a guide in the FAQ section on how to clean the icv

No it doesn't affect the way it drives at all apart from when it does that sitting in traffic etc it has only ever died once in traffic caus of this so im gonna take the icv off an clean the whole lot and see what happens i've found the guide but can anyone tell me how to disconect the throttle cable ?

once the throttle body is of, the cable just slips out mate, you'll see when you do it.

its like on a bike where the brake cable connects to the break lever on the handles
