Flashed by speed camera..

Just been flashed by a fixed speed camera doing just under 40 in a 30 zone. Was a dual carriageway so had no idea it was a 30 but anyway..

So when/if I receive the £60 fine & 3 points, is it like parking tickets which are less if you pay within a certain time or is it just outright £60 fine?

Speed course of offered is about £90 buy well worth it cos the increase on your insurance if you take the points and fine would be more then the £30 difference. I done one for being on the phone and was actually quite interesting. Certainly an eye opener.

Someone still registered or insured to drive that car will have to stump the bill unless you go through with saying your plates have been cloned or your car is stolen.

If someone came on a forum saying they'd done it and then that they got off with it by asking for proof of x, y, z then I would personally ring their local plod and direct them to the site.

No, I got caught on the phone while driving, agreed to the course. The course was called "call divert". When I got there I found out that some where there for being on the phone, some for speeding and some for no seatbelt etc etc they just put everyone in the same sessions.

yeah in fareham by on the run station :homme: what do you drive? saxo? all the saxos around fareham seem to have 17 inch fox alloy wheels with a 5 inch backbox on :S

Na mate happend to me, If its your first driving offence you should get a choice between £60+3points OR attend a speed awareness course (which is like £80) and get no points ...

I took the course, only lasted a couple of hours.

sit your ground and wait. if its your first offence you could get a speed awareness. just look out for the cameras in the future.they kind of stand out ;)
