I was thinking of having it replaced but i hear its a bit of a shitty job.
Anyone got any idea of what labour costs are to do this, because my gear stick is wobbly and sometimes 3rd doesnt slot in properly.
I dont want to ruin my box all for the sake of a 50 p part that needs sorting.
Might have the linkages done at the same too, seems logical.

You wont ruin your box mate, the roll pin secures the control arm to the box itself.
If it comes loose, the arm will come of the box and you just wont be able to select gears 1,2,5 and reverse.
You could do some damage if the control arms comes off and hits something or it comes off the linkage and you lose it.
They are a pain because you have to bash them out and bash a new one in, it only takes 10 minutes if you have the right tools.
The linkages just pop on and off but are fiddly.

What I mean about ruining my box is the fact i kinda have to force it into third sometimes cause it dont feel its in line.
