vts has 16v's compared to the 8v's a vtr has, also a vts has 120bhp where as the vtr has 90/98

Oh. Mine is a VTR then. But the bodykit says VTS.

I thought a VTS was 16v and 8v with 120bhp and 100bhp.

And VTR was 8v with 90bhp. Hmm

Earlier and later vtr's came with 8v either 90 or 98bhp. All vts' come with 120ish bhp 16v.

VTR is more economical on fuel and does 0-60 in about 9 seconds

VTS is quite a bit faster.

Well on the pink slip, it says 1,6i. Nothing about VTR or VTS.

Open the bonnet (if hood if you arent from the UK) and check the engine itself. I assume its a non UK model so pretty much impossible to tell as all the VTS/R stuff is just trim levels elsewhere

Well the engine got 100bhp. Im sure of that :) So says the pink slip, if I remember correct. And yes, its a non UK model. But if I open the hood, it doesnt say anywhere that its a VTS or VTR. But I guess its a VTR then :S .

If you have a VTR look at this and you can work out what bhp you have.

put up some pics
we can tell you pretty much what it is by looking at the engine and interior

just look under bonnet mate and look for a big 16v badge in white.

Hehe look guys. Lets get the facts straight - I know my car is a 1,6 8v with a 100bhp. And thats what I said to the insurance company I have.

What I question myself about is if my car is a VTS or a VTR, because my bodykit says VTS, but you guys say VTR.

Im pretty sure that we, in denmark, thinks that VTS is with 1,6 8v, 100bhp and 1,6 16v with 120 bhp. (Because so says the bodykits on the cars)

And the VTR is Nonfaceliftet model with an 1,6 8v, 90 bhp

yeah, in denmark the VTS is a VTR with ABS i believe.

in the UK, the VTR is an 8v, the VTS is a 16v
