Right, just a really n00b question...

Would it be possible to say fit a Saxo Supersprint exhaust to my 206 GTi 180?

It might sound fucking ridiculous but the extreme exhausts for Poo Hoe six's are expensive and although I have the most common choice/preferable Janspeed system It's not chavy enough for me (ie loud).

True story,

So is it possible, the obvious is hangers ect Im guessing I'd need to have the hangers welded in the right place or something or is it just not as simple as that?

I'd only need the back box as the rest of the piping is 2.5" iirc.

Prepares for the ass raping of a life time, off to Ann Summers for some slide and ride!

once they get the hangers sorted they'll just use their welding wizardry on it!

get it sorted!

Seriously contemplating getting it done, the stock twin pipes look aite' but I think pea shooters look more Rallye! if you get what I'm saying lol! Need rasp pops and bangs, the Janspeed defo does but it's just not the same! Plus the Supersprint will weigh less!

Are they not designed for 106/saxo engines though?

flow rates etc?

that would be my only concern

Tbf anything can be made to fit! Get the backbox take it to a exhaust place and say "Make this fit" depending where you take it might depend on if you take your "Slide and Ride"!

Not sure if it you could enlarge the inlet on the exhaust to 2.5" easily without hitting the baffles and effecting flow! You may miss it but then a you've still got 2.5" backbox to a 2" or 2 1/4" tip so that may affect flow!

I'd just buy a generic stainless backback with a 2.5" inlet and 2.5" outlet (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-4-Exhaust-Silencer-Box-2-5-Inlet-63mm-/320496824677?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4a9f197165) and take that to an exhaust place get them to fit it and just weld a piece on 2.5" pipe as a tip so it looks like a Supersprint! :y: Should be loud too haha!

If its the full system you are looking into you will need to consider the location of the front pipe how it runs under the car etc....

Chances are they're totally different and so a complete ball ache to try modifying to fit.

Thanks Ryan,

The Janspeed is a catback, I was planning to use the Janspeed piping back and bolting the Supersprint backbox to that.

I thought they had olive joins too?

Or it probs "slides" in and clamps. :homme:

2" Supersprint ftw. ;)

the rear beam on the 180 has tie rods out to the trailing arms so it wont leave much space for a traditional layout of exhaust. hence the setup they use from factory. anything can be made fit but the 180 doesnt have much room to play with

oh and if the diameter is similar to the gti6 itl likely be too small.(the sax system)

I'm not being funny jamie but you must have some idea, you fitted a saxsport to a saxo and polished up your exhaust on this so you must of had a look under and thought if it would fit or not.

seriously its around £120 new, by the time you have cut it all welded bits here and there your be getting onto £200. Just buy the supersprint made for your car, at the end of the day the pea shooter tip would not look right on your car.

Alot, it's already got one but I fancy doing something different! lol

Average Exhaust is around £400.

I had a brief look but wondered how easy it would be to do!

£700 quid for one that fits the 180/RC!

That's the only reason I was thinking of another way :)

Fuckit this thread is a waste of time I'm obviously going to just keep the Janspeed which all the 180 owners get a boner over lol!

I wanted this... Madac Grp N but it's only available abroad and too hard to find!

asked the exact same thing on 206info.co.uk and they all said it would be to restrictive for my GTI 138 never mind the 180...

best bet would be to be to ask on there, some guys on there really know there stuff mate (few turbo, ITB'd and cammed owners on the site) they wil be able to help you alot more tbh.

Go to your local fabricators, im sure they will knock up a stainless exhaust cheaper than any off the shelf one.. Then just buy the back box you want
