Engine noise - help please!

Hi,

I'm hoping somebody can help me work out what's causing this annoying noise in the engine of my Saxo VTR. Ignore the tappety noise and focus more on the rubbing sound, which I think is coming from the alternator/drive belt area. The noise only starts when the engine is warm and it can be heard in the car when driving and is obvious from the outside when idle:

try some.wd40 on around the.belt. also look for anything that it could be rubbing against.

i have this on my standard saxo! mine sometimes sounds like a diesel because of the tappets, but i've always wondered what that rubbing sound is. does it get to a higher pitch as the revs increase?
