Was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the problem with my indicators. About a month ago I would get the fast ticking from time to time which seemed to rectify itself, however the past couple of weeks my indicators would just stop working and then come back on again a while later. It seems to be either in the morning when the car is cold and then they work after 15mins or so of driving, or after I have driven a long distance, on the motorway for example, they will just stop working and it will take a good 40 mins before they will work again, but they have on a couple of occasions just stopped working out of the blue with no obvious cause. The hazard lights work fine all of the time. I have taken my car to two mechanics and an auto electrician and all 3 have no idea what is causing it.

If it's flashing fast, that's the indicator relay isn't it?

I'm not overly sure what they checked but going back to one of the mechanics tomorrow think he is getting a switch for free from somewhere so he is gonna try that. The indicators haven't done the fast clicking for about a month now but thinking back I do remember a buzzing sound that used to happen as I turned the engine off, don't know if this gives any other clues?

indicator stalk shorts out, melts the wires and makes them not work or set off the relay randomly, My saxo did it and now my 106 does it, cba to fix it as they still work atm lol
