Hi,
I am wanting to get all the black parts of my VTS painted gloss black. Can anyone reccommend a price in the west yorkshire area for good sprayer.
Thanks

Do it yourself mate..... Im not a trained sprayer by any means, but I did mine.
Be patient with it and you can have a good finish for ...... well, whatever the paint costs.
A body sprayer might cost you a fair bit more. Admittedly a better finish than a rattle can, but save money where you can IMO.

I've only gone and sprayed front grill so far in gloss black & it came out well. I also want to do sides & bumpers but how easy is it to pull sides off without damage? Or do you mask areas off whilst they are attached to the car?

Id recommend doing it yourself, you will save money, just take your time, prep well, give time between coats, I done mine with a gun, masked the bumpers up but took the kit on the sides off and done them, it changes the car completely and makes it look so clean! Masking is also a lot of the work so take your time with that and get all your lines right :) good luck in whatever choice you make!

McQuinns in Heckmondwike is very good and reasonable money - 01924 400823
Ive used them before and would recommend them and its not too far away from you. I know a good one in Ossett (nr Wakefield) but thats even further unfortunately

If you decide to go ahead and do it yourself instead, I'd certainly recommend one of those 'trigger' things that clip onto the top of the rattle cans.
They make it much easier to get a decent rhythm going and stop your finger getting in the way of the nozzle.
Best £1.75 I ever spent. (Well, maybe not the best, but it was well worth it!!)

I rattled canned mine on the 106; looked like poo (rushed them). But i've left them plastic on the VTS... i know it sounds stupid but i use the Grape Meguires tire shine on the bump strips!
No piss takes, it genuinely shines them up a treat, i just used a sponge/scourer to apply.... try it.
