After getting my 'R' mid March this year, the first thing I decided to do (apart from get a pair of sunglasses for the 'over the top' massive green vtr decal that was plastered over it) was to join an owners club on the net for the good sound advice, banter and inspiration....I couldnt find any so I joined here instead lol...

The 'R' I bought which i'm now going to refer to as Kermie (named by my 8 year old son who thinks it s the same colour as the famous frog) is on an S plate with only 95k on the clock, and to be fair to the 2 previous owners looks like it has been well looked after ( with exceptions to the decals and various other green bits)

The car has come to me with only a few suttle mods , which are 20mm bonnet raisers (not to everyones taste, but slowly growing on me) an open cone pipercross cone filter

( which is coming off...maybe even today ) and my viper enclosed is going back on

I was told by the previous owner that the rear box is a magnex 3" rolled out back box, which when I bought the car i thought was way to loud, but it s kinda growing on me with it s deep burbly sound.. a full cat back system is need for Kermie I think, so any advice for a system would be helpful here ;);.

I ve already bought a set of SPAX front 50mm drop springs which , fingers crossed are going to be fitted this week and should improve the 'floating in the air ' look my car has at the mo..

Im really after the 106 leather interior for mine as I have seen numerous pics on here of other peoples rides, and I ve gotta say the interior looks mint with the leather in it.. May be for the interior as well I may 'personalize' things such as door pillars and the roof lining in some kinda leather ( maybe done on here b4 i dont know)..

I have removed the vtr stickers from the back and I ve gotta say , I dont feel like a chav drivin it know lol

Well yesterday I got round to respraying a few of the green bits off Kermie..

I did the front bumper insert and the mirror inserts...

The finished job was way better than I thought it was gonna be and I think has improved the whole look of the car instantly

Looks like your heading in the right direction!!

Post your plans up! People will be able to see what your aim with the car is then.

Good start to a prog thread.

As you can see it needs a bit of work and im gonna get some new silicone joiners for it..

Has any body heat wrapped the induction pipe? and would it be worth it?
