Hello folks,
I joined this a while back, when I had a VTS..... I ended up getting rid of it, and I had an MX5 for awhile.... Now I am back, with a VTR this time. The VTS I had never made it on the road, so I wanted another Saxo for a while!
So.... I got this yesterday, it was reasonably cheap, and I dont mind spending money on it if I find bits that need done.
Pics, only took a few snaps when I drove it straight home yesterday.

Then, I gave it a clean today, and removed the 'SAXO' stickers the last owner had put on. Pics.

Looks tidy, has potential! IMO loose the window tints, and go low on some VTS wheels. Sorted! :)

It is quite tidy, few little marks here and there, but thats to be expected.
I dont mind the window tints, but tbh, I was considering getting something a bit lighter instead, and the rear window done to match the lighter tints.
Low isn't an option, it is a MUST! Ill be looking to do this ASAP... And I agree with the VTS wheels.... You have similar taste to myself! :D

Looks in good condition, could do with a new front number plate though.

Both number plates will be getting replaced soon, pressed plates are ordered!
I ordered quite a few bits and pieces for this yesterday, it'll be seeing some progress soon.

Just a few more snaps, and a close up of the new grille.... I think it makes a huge improvement to the front of the Saxo, such a cheap mod, well pleased.

Cheers mate, I have some VTS wheels ordered, im gonna be doing a refurb on them before I put them on the car..... Got some pressed plates on route, along with 60mm springs, and ill be getting the torsion bar done to match.
Still thinking what else to do with it, I have plenty of ideas floating around in my head, but just need to see what I can afford at the minute.
I wont be doing much performance wise, I dont see the point until im ready to drop a VTS lump into her! :D

I hated the original grille with the Citroen badge, not nice at all.
The exhaust is a powerflow exhaust if im not mistaken, its not as big as the usual powerflow ones though, so it'll do for now until I get a smaller, car-specific exhaust.
Seat covers are off by the way, they were only on when I drove the car home.
Thanks for the comment!

The zorst sounds nice, it has grunt, but not too loud either, but powerflow are never really designed for power gains, just to look and sound good, so eventually, ill want one that will give me some gains!
The S wheels.... Colour... Wait and see ;) haha

Well I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow, just need to get down to Halfrauds and get some primer!
Opening them wasnt too hard, 10 minutes in the oven at 150 degrees, then used a screwdriver to seperate them, and pulled them apart. Job done!

Bought some Citroen Polar White spray today.... Along with all the other bits I needed, and started spraying the headlight inserts.
They still need a few more coats and a few coats of lacquer, but here they are so far.

Cheers mate, theres a few bolts holding them in, then they just pull out so far, so you can disconnected the wires to the bulbs.... Two of the wires have little metal clips on the connecters holding them on, you just need to pry them off.
After that its just a matter of sticking them in the oven for 10 minutes at about 150 degrees to the glue softens, then pull the glass off the plastic! :)
