Hi guys, been coping with lots of weird noises and problems for some time now, here's a list:

- Weird squeeking noise from the rear of the car while driving along, its not the boot lid as the bolts on it have been tightened, its not the parcel shelf as there isn't one and its not the spoiler as I don't have one of those either

- Car still dips on the left side when breaking at low speed, have had the rear brakes done as the cylinders had gone, could it be the front brakes? As the front left one gets a lot warmer than the front right one when under use

- Lots of knocking and clicking from the front when turning sharply at low speed, for example into a driveway or parking space

- Knocking from a driveshaft but I already know that I need new driveshafts anyway so thats not really much of an issue

- Car wants me to steer to the right all the time to keep going down a straight road, tracking done 3 times now but no difference, really hope its not my rear axle again

- Steering appears to be much lighter than it used to be, and sometimes it feels really lose, it never used to feel like that

- Knocking from the front when pulling away or whenever the clutch bites, I would have thought this would be an engine mount but apparently they are okay, and also bearing in mind it seems to happen when the clutch starts to bite and the car hasn't started to move

Hope you guys can shed some light on my car's problems!

Thanks
Ben

Ben,

1. Sounds like it could be the rear axle, has it been lowered?

2. Sounds like the piston on the front left side is sticking/seized, get it checked.

3. Possibly a driveshaft or ball joint, is it only when turning one way?

4. Rear axle could be linked to a couple of your problems.

5. Could be anything to be honest mate. CV joint?

6. You definitely have some damage underneath somewhere. Check ball joints, CV, driveshafts etc...

1. Rear axle was swapped a while ago but was secondhand and didnt know how many miles it had done before I got it, not been lowered but it looks like the rear passenger wheel has a bit of camber

2. Yes, the front brakes definitely need looking at, sounds like thats definitely the problem

3. Yes it always seems to be worse when turning left, only does it a little when turning right

4. Yeah I guessed it could

5. Yeah they are making plenty of noises as regards to CVs, That should be okay once new driveshafts are in

6. Gonna get the thing in the air and have a proper look at every joint, bolt, ball joint, bush etc, I will find these problems!! :P

Thanks :)
