well if it has an aux socket on the front of the unit. an mp3 player should work through your unit mate

you buy an alpine i-pod kit which connects to your cd changer port and uses that as an auxillary

all you need is a £5 phono to headphone cable will have the red and white one end and a headphone jack on the other very very simple once you turn on the mp3 player it should over ride the other source and play your mp3 music

this is it but not the one for your model
if you read about his model it says it doesnt have an auxillary rca as its the CD CHANGER PORT,this is what needs to be used, any normal rca is what the audio would come out of,not go into

on the back of the player there should be an aux in plug the white and red phono ends into this and the headphone jack into your mp3 player and save yourself £55 get a bracket to go on your dash and put your mp3 player in this just use the controls on your mp3 player then
Mattvtr
30th July 2006, 22:21
there aint it has 3 preouts (hence sound comes out of these) the cd changer port IS the auxillary

also dannsax the one i showed is for ipod only but companies such as connects2 do adaptor leads which plug into cd changers to allow for other mp3 players

as long as you have an aux in the phono to headphone lead will work you tend to have 6 phono sockets on the back 3 red and 3 white 2 are normally speaker outs and one tends to be aux in on if you plug the phono lead thats pluged into your mp3 player into the aux in it should play though the stereo and press the source button till you can hear it like on mine i have cd/radio/aux as sources have you got a pic of the rear of the stereo?
Mattvtr
31st July 2006, 22:00
on that unit it should have 1 front 1 rear and 1 sub
VTaaRon
31st July 2006, 22:33
does anyone have a pic of the rear i tend to have sony maybe thats why there a tad different mine has two red outs two white outs one red in one white in plus a longer sub phono red and white
Mattvtr

they are all different by make although some makes tend to group together, blaupunkt have no pre outs on their units, you have to buy a special iso adaptor to allow for pre outs which is a con!

think thats the same unit as me mate it really is that simple isnt it slide the unit out plug in the wire slide the unit back it and plug in your mp3 player! job done some times tho i notice the volume is a bit low so you might want to get a better wire or make sure you turn the unit vol down before swapping back to the cd player!! warning!
