Nah they're just the finished product of what my car will look like, only difference is the wheels, inspirational. And yeh they have different number plates because they're two different cars.. lol

So Ive seen this rear lip and it makes the rear end look hell of a lot better. Im on the lookout for one which I will get smoothed in when the body work is done:

Ok so I replaced the nearside rear pads about 2 months ago as they were down to the metal, and now Ive got the noise of low pads again. Gone and checked and theyre right down to the metal again. Couldn't move the disc in the air, turns out the caliper is seized on, handy! Couldnt find any rebuild kits for my model, or new calipers, so got in touch with a company that say they can get hold of anything including grey import parts, and ordered a new rear caliper from them :) £140 though. Could have probably found one cheaper, but need one right now, and they're local.

Got new disc and pads ready to fit to the new caliper.

Next up, 98 spec wheels :y:

New caliper arrived yesterday, and just got it fitted.

Was a doddle. Old disc was cracked and only a few mm thin, was ready to just fall apart. Pads, well there was nothing to take any pictures of..

Once the old caliper was off it was impossible to move the piston.

New caliper:

All fitted :) :

Currently have Evo 2 or 3 wheels on! They're in a disgusting state so haven't posted any pictures of them!

Did have the 96 spec wheels which are similar to these but 15" these 98 specs are 16" and a more straight, square spoke. They make a HUGE difference!

how much do red H wheels go for? they pricey?

Mochachino

Red H wheels, im pretty new to Honda's not really dived in or learnt much about them, but what are H wheels

Ashleyp

red H is a term for honda :P the logo is a red H.

get it? :detective: lol

Mochachino
11th June 2012, 20:05
haha thats what I thought, but wernt sure.

Well basically think of the SW98 wheels ive just bought as the VTS wheels of the Integra scene, these ones in particular cost me £460. Was advertised for £515.

96 spec wheels (my old ones) are like VTR wheels, and go for about £250ish, although I sold mine for £120 as they were in a state with bald tyres.

Evo wheels I suppose are like 306 cyclones, and have the same value as 96 specs.

Ashleyp
11th June 2012, 20:10
£460 for wheels and tyres isn't bad at all! much better value than the other overpriced stuff you JDM bumboys enjoy ;) lol

Mochachino
16th June 2012, 11:32
Got the wheels on yesterday, car looks much better. Also deironized the car, on the rear it looked like someone had thrown purple paint all over it. Following this I have clayed both sides of the car, used tar remover, followed by a polish and wax, and it looks so much better now. Front badge broke, which was a fake one, so I've removed that to put the genuine faded one back on. Just need to clay the rear bumper, boot, roof and bonnet.

Its currently raining so no pics with the dslr, but I may get a couple with my phone.

Just done the ultimate chav mod and bought a sticker for god sake, basically one of these from Japan:

I went through a phase of wanting a carbon bonnet, but ive gone off the idea again lol if I got one I would probably have it sprayed white but benefit from it being abit lighter. I will be getting this one resprayed though, there a few stone chips that have some surface rust on now :n:

Got my Honda Sticker through today and also I had to get some white carbon wrap, to stick the sticker onto to stick to the car. I wasn't keen on the idea, but I couldn't find any plain white vinyl unless I bought a whole sun strip. Anyway, Mounted the H sticker tot he vinyl and it looks good!

Will stick it to replace the standard faded Honda badge this weekend. Will hopefully look alot more flush, cleaner and not as in your face as the standard one.

Right after waiting a month my Magnecor leads have finally arrived! Apparently a problem at the factory. Handmade and tested by some woman called Julie. My faiths in her.

So now my HT Leads, Spark plugs and Dizzy have a arrived I can fit them. The misfire hasn't been so bad lately but I will fit them all anyway.
