Is this a straight swap and are the disks simple to install instead Of the drums??
Any help would be great.

Axle easy swap mate, all that needs to replace is:

Handbrake cables and maybe some pipes

I've done it not that hard really took me about 2hours.

Maybe some pipes?
Can anyone identify these?

u need the handbrake cables from the gti/vts

the pipes would be the brake pipes that run from the calipers to the small bracket on the radius arm. the existing flexible brake pipe can be joined to the new axle at this point.

really is a simple job. remove spare wheel and exhaust. undo brake hoses and hand brake cables then four bolts takes it out.

thats the copper brake pipe you need in that picture. more than likely this will come with the axle when you buy it. if not they are easy got

I had to replace the brake lines that ran from the beam to the connectors under the passenger side footwell so they are needed or is that just me?
