Due to the cheapness of my last amp it blew up with style. So now I am looking for a new one just wondering what yours opinions on this amp are http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audiobahn-A8000V-Car-Amplifier-Mono-800w-RMS-NEW_W0QQitemZ150013095742QQihZ005QQcategoryZ18797Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

This amp will have to run 2 JBL subs rated at 300WRMS each.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Don't like the look of the genni one as i will be running it flat out, which is what i did to the last amp before all the capacitors blew up. so im now looking at over powered ones so it gets an easy life if you see what i mean.

reevesy what can you do brand new, as i would normally buy from shops as i dont trust ebay too much needs to be a mono block 600wrms or greater ideally??

If you are after two amps i can suggest the In Phase IPA 2400 which will run the subs with no problems and will allow quality base and also the In Phase IPA 1204 4 channel amp to run the components. You will recieve the upmost quality and also the best prices by calling R.D Audio on:

I have rated each amp out of 5 with asterixes, these are only my opinions on the amps. The majority of these I have heard, the ones I have not heard I am going on past reviews I recall reading.

A couple of questions need answering before you can get some decent answers.

Further Questions

1. What model JBL subs are they? (need to know whether they are single or dual voice coil)

2. What components and why two pairs?

3. What is your budget for the two amps?

it will run them, I'm not a great fan of audiobahn like, rather try and get genni pro sub of there can get them a bit cheaper

Genesis Profile Sub

Genesis are very well regarded in the Car Audio business and a lot of true competetion systems use genesis amplifiers. They are a leading high end brand and pretty much any of their products out class products from brands such as Vibe, Audiobahn and In Phase.

A second hand Genesis Profile Sub (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3009) usually sells for around £100-£150 on Ebay and they retail at £379.99 online never mind over the counter in shops.

I would choose the Profile Sub amplifier that YM03 suggested over any of the other recommendations so far. Not only is the quality and build of the highest quality, they are also hand made right here in Britain which allows a customer service from Genesis like no other.

Typical power output of the Profile Sub is more like 600 rather than 550 at 2 ohm.

Four Channel Amplifiers

Trying to power two sets of components off of one four channel amp is going to mean either spending serious money on an amp or underpowering the speakers.

One set of components and an amp such as the Genesis Profile Four (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3007) bridged to two channels would give much more satisfying results in the end.

Unfortunatly I can not find one on Ebay at the moment but they pop up atleast twice a week usually.

1. They are JBL GTO 1202D's http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4235&cadid=8f60a637d4b3048526293cde16e7ae5b

2. I have got Vibe Sek 50 and plan on running 2 sets of these, one set upfront, and one set in a custom made moulding attatched to the plastic where the rear seat belts are.
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4381&cadid=8f60a637d4b3048526293cde16e7ae5b

3. I dont really want to spend over £280 delivered (I am supposed to be buying alloys this month lol)

I don't want mega loud I just want it working again, so i may as well do it properly this time. I also don't like second hand gear off ebay. Everything has to be new I'm afraid (I've had bad experiences in the past).

Thanks for your help chaps!
