Back with another classic.... Volkswagen MK1 Golf I <3 my CLUNKER...added camber and more!

Hello Guys

So 3 weeks ago I handed over £1100 and Lauire handed me the keys to this classic little car, fresh mot & tax and away I went :)

It's a 1300cc, the road home took what was ment to be 1 hour took 3 hours as I once I joined the motorway I had to stay is lane as I was knocking the cats eyes off one bye one.lol

Before I could get threw my front door the coil overs were on with no helper spring and lower top mounts, I raised the engine with new mounts and had a shorten sump made, I've re cut and raised front turrets to :)

My plans are to lower the coil overs to the floor but when I do this the carrier for the rear wheel sits on the foot and the lower arm bolts sit on the floor at the front, I've even had to put fuel lines tuning threw the car .lol

Ive sent the head of to be done as it was not in a great way it must be said, odered my lower top mounts and state plates.

Finally got my golf back after its rebuild so decided to add a little camber and put my us spec plates on....

Guys just wondering if any one can help....I got my 1300cc block rebuilt last week...

Refurbed head.
Bearings.
Shells.
Piston rings.
All gaskets.
Loads of work yet there a lot of smoke coming out of oil breather pipe, then there was a massive oil pressure and it's manage to push it out the rocker cover gasket :(


ANY IDEAS?

Did you get your engine sorted? I'd just pick up another 1.3 from a mk2, they go for pennys.

Not a fan of the camber, rear plate or state of the bodywork but I can see the look you're going for. Please look after it, it'll be worth a fortune in good nick.
