Bought an LED and fitted it and it flashes a bit too fast. At the moment it's flashing at about 2 flashes per second and i'm looking to have it at about 1 flash per 4 seconds. Any idea how i can do this?

put it next to a pyramid? according to stephen hawkins time actually moves slower next to objects of huge mass

Maybe a small resistor?

Other than that, I don't know.

There isn't a remote.

Yeah it came with a resistor on it, just not got great knowledge on wiring so wasn't sure what i should be looking for to change it with

There should be an ohm rating on the resistor, like 2 ohms or 3 ohms, whatever. You'd just need one with more ohms!

how is it wired up currently? need to know the circuit at the moment to work out how to change it

Ah cheers for that will check the rating

It's just a basic circuit with the led live connected to a switch and then to a live cable and then the earth just straight to earth. i bought it as a "flashing LED" so the current resistor was already on it, just added the switch.

maplins sell a 'dummy alarm led' which lets you adjust the amount of flashes it does and how long the led stays on per each flash so you can get it spot on. only costs like £4

i was always under the impression if you changed the resistor size you changed the brightness? :S
