Anyone ever had any experience with this company?
Currently searching for a renewal for my 307 daily. Went with elephant.co.uk last year, but their renewal price is £700 which seems high. Search engine results keep bringing Hastings Direct up as consistantly cheapest, with quotes of around £550 with bugger all excess. However, Google search shows quite a few poor reviews about customer service and reluctance to payout in the event of a claim. Most of these reviews are a few years old though.
Just wondering if theyve got any better in recent years?

HOw have you found them so far? £208 fc is an amazing price tbf.
I paid £600 last year, no claims and no points etc. Cant understand really why mine has shot up thi syear. Elephants renewal of £700 is still the cheapest other quote I'm getting. I'm 32, house owner, 0 points, 0 claims, 5 years ncb. Only issue other facotr is that I'm insured for buisness class and hense higher than average miles :n:

Insurance has gone up for nigh on everyone. When I got my new car, I rang up Admiral to get a quote and they said as a rough guide, the car would have cost me £470 to insure last year, so I bought it... When it came to actually renewing, price went up an awful lot, but managed to get them down to £550, so still ended up paying £80 more. Everyone's insurance has gone up though, insurance is on the up it would appear.

They have always been cheap for me with the 'R and they are really good on the GTI as well. They are brilliant over the phone, really really helpful and being a UK call centre they actually understand you haha.

must be all the whiplash claims etc going in :wall: My insurance has been roughly £600 for the past 12 years. I refuse to pay £850+ for insurance on a shit car, but thats the prices almost every other company is quoting me at the minute :n:

I'm tempted to give them a try tbh. Might give Elephant a ring and try knock them down a bit over the phone to get somewhere near as I've been with them or Bell/Admiral for about 6 years now and never had any problems, even during/after claims in the past.
But £150 off cant be sniffed at ;)
