Just A Few Little Bits That I Want To Sort Out Atm. The Compo's Have A Few Scuffs And Scratches On So Will Want To Get The Refurbished When I Have The Money. Also On The Smoothed Boot There Is A Little Dent In The Bottom Corner And A Small Crack In The Filler Where Its Been Smoothed. :n:

Well had the car on the road for a week now, been loving it apart from the pass side shock we suspected to be blown. Was not a hundred percent sure wiether they are Gaz coilover so bought a GAZ shock absorber off someone on here just incase. started to take off the coilover off this morning; and it turned out to be them ;)

and there was oil all over the strut. -.- so my gf's dad decided to take the shock apart and there was fuck all left init and the seal at the top looked fine so we decided to put some new oil in. and bobs ur uncle its now fine so didnt need the other shock -.-

well going to be washing her soon and when the sun comes out going to be taking a lot of picks :D

If its on gaz then your capable of going much much lower. Have flick thru my progress thread, the sump on my saxo was litteraly 1" from the floor, when I was on motorways it use smack on catseyes when I was changing lanes, that's when you know your slammed ;)

yeah its on gaz coilies.. wound all the way down with the helpers removed. i want it just a few mm more down so it matches the back perfectly. How can i go any lower?

no, custom shorter springs made his low
although you're right, rim size is a major factor. Me and saxosingh both had the same suspension wound to the bottom except i had 15's and he had 13's so smaller wheels = less ground clearance = appears to be lower when its not

Yes im going to be investing in some custom springs when the funds allow it. Just want the front down a little bit more, not going over the top and getting it touching the floor as i have problems around here with the roads as it is -.-

yeah they are just a straight fit, and it was lowered when i bought it but i just put my refurbished axle on and lowered it myself back to the height the other one was :)

hadn't cleaned my car for two weeks! so gave it a wash and put my wheel-whore stickers on and took a few snaps :)

Also have sum euro style jewels coming in the post that i bought off jeffchiz which will be here in a few days. Then when i get some spare wheels going to send mine off to be refurbished :D

Right Update, Picked up my vts wheels earlier and am very pleased with them :D

Only cost me £80 and 3 wheels are in mint and one has a small kurb mark and two need tyres but its a bargain at the price :D

UPDATE!!!

Got my tyres fitted on my vts wheels today and fitted them. So now i can get my minilights refurbished :D

Also bought some 106 mirrors from a member off here and fitted them today will show in pics. I found out also what was knocking on my front suspension, It seems that my GAZ shock absorber has blown and has alot of movement so thats £83 i have to spend on a new oone so not too happy :(

They are the standard ones, which i believe wound down to the max is 75mm. But really want the shorter springs but need a new shock first!

thanks wasnt really to sure if they would look right but im happy with them :D

it looks perfect height for what i want, would like it lower but i have a garage to put it in and theres uneven ground, so 75mm should be perfectly fine to get the car in the garage with not that much damage :D

My new cambelt and water pump i ordered have arrived today, so depending on the weather i will changing them tomoz with pictures! (if i remember) so keep watching as updates very soon!

Right guys i successfully changed my cambelt today :) quite cuffed as i had only done it before on stand engines at college so never done one with the engine in the car :)

Going to be ringing up some wheel refurbish companys over the weekend and next week so i can get my wheels done asap :) want them ready for a local car meet in 2 weeks.

So tomorrow morning i will take some pics of the damage they have and upload them so when they come back you can see the difference :)

Also very chuffed with my cambelt change today, and i will be sorting out little bits on it in the next month due to my MOT coming up in spetember. So need to sort my airbag light out and my blown shock absorber.

Need some idea's and inspiration on what else to due to it :)

Very nice! It'll be worth getting some decent wheel sealant slapped on them! Keep them well protected and makes them easier to clean :y:

Yeah have to have some stretch ;) and it costed me £260 which was not too bad seeing as they picked them up and acid dipped them etc.

Well it was converted when i got it then i bent all the valves when the cambelt went and i paid £80 for it off mate. Looked on ebay and on here and cant find any? I have a rebuilt head forsale if you want to built an engine up?

It sounded nice because of my Piper 4-2-1, supersprint middle section and kam racing back box :P

I would rather buy a whole engine so i just have to do a straight swap less hassle that way lol. there was a few on ebay the other month but most of them had 100k plus miles and wanted like 200+ for them :/

I can only go lower on the front if i get some custom springs made up :/ will be getting some when i can afford it.

and there is only a 10mm diff from the front to back, but the back looks alot lower dude to the rear arches being lower than the front anyways :/ but a 10mm drop on the front would make it look better. :y:

Bit of an update, I fitted a new driveshaft last week as my CV joint was fucked and treated her to a clean as she was covered in dirt and hadnt have one ina while!

My minilites will be back on ina few weeks :) Just need to get them balanced and wait until the weather gets a little better!
