only got the evo because of selling the s3 and cupra and only got the gti because we knew someone selling it really cheap and drew sold our 206 to get it :)

love cherry red, shame about the side strips though, does that mean it doesnt have the leathers?

dropped on the deck and they look really smart. Dont really need to do anything to gti's to make them look good imo

Doesn't have the leathers, has the red cloth stuff. Not too fussed at the moment about leathers because these seats are rather comfy :)

Yeah shame about the sidestrips but I will just paint them satin black to make them look fresh. The car only has a couple tiny dints on the boot and thats it. Got it with no Mot or Tax so I'll let yous guess the deal I got but for how immaculate it is, youd never think it true, even the guy mot'ing it today never believed me. It passed btw haha

It still has the private plate on but thats going back to the owner. I have a set of scirocco aloys coming for it very soon.

I also have clear front lights rather than the hazey ones, they are getting painted matt black inside, and think the fogs will be going matt black with yellow bulbs.


My mate is going to breaking his gti soon and I could get leathers I sold him 6 months back but tbh the stuff in it is already spotless and really really comfy. Only thing I will be doing to the interior is fitting my quicksilver grab handles and maybe a momo steering wheel. He has a few goodies on his which includ a 421 mani and a full decat magnex system.

Lower around 40mm, and drive her as she was made to be driven....

never sat in the cloth seats but they look just as supportive, if not more than the airbagged seats. Although they have a bit of a dodgy pattern on them, they must be much harder wearing than the leathers. The suede part on the leathers wear thin so quick its ridiculous

reminds me of my cherry red gti i had over xmas bought it for £350 with tax and mot £6k worth of recipets for suspension, brakes, cams, exhaust, engine mounts etc mine was an r reg but had MINT leathers and no bump strips must've been one of the first being a 1998, only had to spend £50 on it to get it running properly and sold it for £1300 was well chuffed and was pretty quick was about 145bh was unmapped on newman conbination cams but ran fine just with a slightly lumy idle

i have sirrocos on my vts atm, had to fit them as my schmidts wouldnt fit over the gti-6 brakes :( but they look nice, a nice but subtle change from vts wheels

It is a quick one for being standard, my mate raced his gtc astra with a vts that had all the usual breathing mods n he sat side by side. I raced his last night and pulled a good 4 car lengths upto 100.


Ive had 6 1.6 16vs so I know what I mean gimpo. x
