if you have a respray do you have to notify insurance and i think its obvious u have to but, the dvla?

depends on insurance company... some charge 10-20% of your annual premium + a mid-term adjustment fee !

my insurance company require more money if your car has metalic paint apposed to basic matt paint :(

That makes sense as metallic paint would lead to a more expensive repair, I cant imagine theres much price difference though.

insurance does work with some simple factors and one is the desire to steal....it is a fact in the summer yellow cars look the dogs bollox

i aalso was told red cars are more expensive on insurance and the divorced women pay higher insurance!?!?!?!!

if its a different shade of the same colour ie: if you wanted a darker shade of red as the existing one is too light, then i wouldnt bother informing them as its still red.

not fact matey my last car was yellow and the insureance was lower then a blue one.
think about it yellow is not slolen often to easly spotted by the police and poss witness's.
