On our club stand there were a load of knobs climbing up the wall right behind our cars. Using a bin to give them a boost up. Bunch of wankers with absolutely no respect for someone elses car.

I wanted to the japfest at rockingham last year in my mates car as it's only up the road, he went and said it was similar to as you desribed it - people wise. I think all car shows seem to be infested with members of their local 'cruise club' though.

Yeahhh I went; didn't see this thread before I left though, although I own a saxo I have a thing for jap cars too. (Particularly Civic's and CRX's) but it wasn't too bad; weather was hot one minute cold the next, came home with a sunburn. :(
Was good to see all the cars, shame to see some of the drifters cars wrecked and as said above; it's a shame about some of the people, all you could smell going around was burning rubber and weed.

It was just annoying when I was driving through the massive crowds of people to get out and they didn't seem to realise that as I had no roof I could quite clearly hear what they were saying!

We were staying 8 Miles from the track, left before 7.30am and the last 3 miles took an hour and a half. Some people queued for 4 hours, and then at half 2 they were full and started turning people away, including people who's pre-bought their tickets. They ran out of food and closed most of the toilets.

Cars were cool though!

Sorry but how disillusioned are you, a child is more likely to pick up a beer and try to drink it than get high off breathing in smoke from a joint in an open space. I'm guessing you've never tried to get passively high on weed smoke because if you had you'd know it is almost impossible unless you are in a room full of people smoking and even then it doesn't happen. So no IMO the children there were more at risk from alcohol than the people smoking but of course 90% of people wouldn't realise this as they have been blinkered into the whole 'drugs are bad' mentality.

I used to smoke a lot of the shit, then I decided to sort myself out and stop. I have no issues with drinking around children but I'd never smoke green near them. I wouldn't smoke anything near kids for that matter.

The difference being when you go into town on a friday night you'd be going for the pubs. When you go to a car show you're going for the cars, not the weed.

I don't as I don't like it, I personally would go into town to go for a nice meal of a weekend night but the fact that I know when I come out (especially if I get a late booking) there'll be drunk people roaming the streets like zombies thinking they're big man, or mouthy lasses who think just because they have tits they're exempt from a slap puts me right off.
