I know I can most probably find the information somewhere on the Polished Bliss website, but as usual... Im busy.

I am looking for a buffer for use on my car. I've read details of a 110v buffer, which came highly recommended. I'm happy to go with something like that. Obtaining a transformer is no problem.

How much does such a buffer cost? What pad applicators, etc are best for buffing my car? Baring in mind its been re-sprayed a few times and the doors especially are lacking a proper shine! Some panels also contain fibreglass/filler. (ie, bumpstrip holes filled on the doors)

Also... is it possible to purchase such a buffer through Polished Bliss?

I know of one or two people (possibly more) who are interested in buying a buffer.

So, please fill this thread with useful buffer information :A:

The only one worth considering is the Porter Cable 7424 dual action unit only available in ther states (it's not CE certified, so I can't stock it yet). I have bought 4 from Autopia in th elast year, and they are by miles the best place to get one from (good prices, good service, quick delivery). The cost for the basic unit is usually ~£110 delivered. If 2-3 of you order together it will be cheaper, as the postage rates will become proportionally lower the more you order. The pad kits (DAS and SFX) Autopia sell are okay, but I prefer the Lake Country pads, hence why I only stock them. So, if you want to save money buy a pad kit from Autopia, if you want the best pads and be damned with a little extra cost buy the base unit from Autopia and get the pads from me. I can supply a discount code for Autopia, anyone wanting it just drop me a pm. Here's a link to the autopia site, and the buffer section...

and the Lake Country pads can be found in this section on my site...

Simo, couple of thinsg to note - a machine will be perfectly safe on your paint, you'll just need to start with gentle polishes to ascertain how hard your paint is. You'll also need to be careful near the filled areas, as the vibrations may loosen the filler - again, go gentle to start with. The Porter Cable (or PC) is a very safe tool, even for novices, and you will not regret buying one.

That'll do for starters, need any more info fire away!
