attention!!!!! cleaning engine bay

Before anyone starts i have read the help guide on how to do it but was after advice from others please. i have a whole day to clean my car (engine bay) and want it to be super clean. can people tell me the best thing to use to get rid of all the shit and make it clean and tidy. i dont really want to use a power hose inside because i think its a bit dodgey. help would be grateful will post pics of the finished product tomorrow evening :thumbup:

engine degreaser would be a good start :)

A good degreaser and a towel plus many hours of rubbing will do the trick, but the wet wash is the quicker option. I haven't had a single problem with wet washing an engine bay yet. :)

baby wipes. thats what i used works wonders.

ive used the gunk spray on degreaser and tht works quite well got it from halfrauds!

engine degreaser - then quick rinse with hose. (ideally engine running and its a hot day)
bit of wd40 around the nuts etc. quick rinse with jet wash.

leave bonnet open to dry for few hours.

admire..

with some swarfiga at the ready to get the oil off your hands after!!! or a cheaper way is washing up liquid and sugar! if using water watch out for spark plug area and injectors just incase you can also remove a few things on the top that are easy to remove and refit so you can get in and around stuff for a better finish
