Just ordered a tub of usn muscle fuel anabolic which I'm planning to take with breakfast and post work out only. I'm thinking of buying a slow release protein aswell to take straight before bed. What do you recommend?

One of these maybe?

Cheers :y:

MP one looks good. Personally just mix some casein and whey and have half a tablespoon full of natty peanut butter.

But since your other protein is an all in one Id go for the bedtime extreme. Doesn't seem to bad a price and has some HMB and L-Glut in there which could be useful for recovery.

I use milk protein from myprotein, seems good value. But casein always seems to mix poorly compared to normal whey, but does the job.

I have the second one you linked, Optimum Nutrition Casein. Along with ZMA tablets

I goto the gym after work which is like 1230am-130am so my post workout shake is normally just before I goto sleep. Should I switch to something else then to reap more benefits?

Well whatever you give your body after training you're going to absorb it quickly, so if you're training before bed and only have a shake after then during the night your body will have even less nutrients if you're only taking a basic whey shake.
Ideally you should eat but if it's just a shake then move to a casein protein shake so the protein is released slower throughout your sleep helping you keep in an anabolic state.

Thanks chaps, will keep trying to make a decision between the two! The myprotein looks good as dusher said but the ON stuff is tempting as the serving size is only small so could mix it into something quite easily! Save me needing the loo in the night if I don't mix it with water

Always thought the ON range was well expensive for the amount you get but didn't realise the serving sizes were so small. Supposed to be good stuff aswell. Good to know as I may well use the gold standard whey when I finally decide to cut!
