My Ph1 172

So bit of a late one this as I got the car early Feb but boredom and the fact I have been on here a bit more lately means I have decided to stick up a progress thread for everyone to admire ;).

So it all started when I was on the hunt for a ph1 I was currently job less so just looking for the time being.

Then after looking in the CS.net for sale section I saw this little bargain of a ph1 and being as it was owned by a few respectable members and one of the lads at JMS had actually bought it and done a LOT of work to it himself with receipts coming nearly upto 2K in parts alone I knew I had to buy it.

So after buying it this is how she looked :).

I then purchased some colour coded side strips and door handles this is how she looked after that.

I then went down to jam sport to have them fitted and to get the alignment set up, very very happy and it handles fucking brill now considering the shocks that were on it had had been leaking for a little while.

Considering I hadn't really took any decent shots of the car yet I decided to find a nice little location to take some decent pics so here we go :).

Yep I owned this until some plank pulled out in front of me and I couldn't stop in time, It was munching oil anyway so I think the piston rings had had it.

It actually turned out well because I then lost my job which I used the insurance money to get me by then the left over went on the ph1 just before I got another job.

I miss the RB to bits and I was tempted to get another but think I'm going to have fun with this for now and just enjoy it for what it is, Possibly get an RB 200 when prices drop.

How many miles did the F4R in the RB have to be oil thirsty, or was it just a case of previous owner and no changes?
Ph1 looks decent though, have to say

It was only on 52k mate used about a litre a month and would leave black spots all on the back of the car if I took it for a good boot, female owner before me so I doubt it was looked after to it best.

I love the ph1 I was always tempted to get rid of the RB and buy a ph1 then pocket the cash (didnt work like that unfortunately lol)

Well nothings changed lately sold the cup spoiler as I'm selling soon.
