As some might remember my mrs had a gold vtr that she loved until some little scrote broke into it. Ill post the project thread link but heres a pic of how it looked just before it got broken into:

so last october i spotted this on ebay, she liked it so we went down to have a look at it offered £700 an drove it away.

it needed a starter motor (was sticking), the clutch pedal was at a ridiculas height and the drop links were both gone, luckily i had a recon starter sitting in my garage, i popped out an got some service items (plugs, oil filter, fuel filter an gearbox oil), a clutch kit and 2 drop links for the grand total of £90.

after many i cant be arsed weekends i finally got my arse into gear and fitted it all at work(with her watching and taking pictures). found out it had a 1.1 starter on it aswell could of been why it wasn't working properly?

i decided i didn't like my smoked front lights but my mrs did so we did a swop she also wanted my smoked jewels on so i thought it would be rude not to, but while i was there i thought how horible her rocker cover looked so i painted my spare one and fitted it while i was there.

good progress so far, i personaly hate black alloys much prefer the clean looking silver ones

should do the fog lights, very easy to do fill with oven cleaner leave for 30min and then wash out and you will be amazed...

Hmm what brand of oven cleaner or doesnt it matter lol?

As for updates it had its mot and failed due:

Rust
Nearside ball joint
Indicator stalk not working propperly on left turns

All sorted and passed now but we dont know weather to keep it an carry on or use it for another year and break it as rust will only ever get worse.

Looks better with silver S wheels personally.

How bad and where was the rust? Only get worser if you dont keep the archs clean.
