Well I still skateboard at 33 so I'd say no! Although I've had the skateboards for years.

Word of advice though, the older you get the more it hurts when you fall!!!

Not gay, probably a bit old for it though..

Mainly for this reason

I bet none of you would say that if you had the money Tony Hawk has! By doing a "gay" sport.

Tony hawk is a middle aged man who spends his day on a board of wood playing with kids in a kids park..

So your a wheelchair bound litter picker who's recently bought a skateboard? :homme:
On a serious note I'd do what you enjoy! Sounds like its coming along nicely for you. I know a lot of people only really get into surfing as a hobby when there a bit older, don't see why you shouldn't skate :)

skateboarding is enjoyable I used to ride but we don't really have a park so I haven't bothered in ages.

not sure if I would 'start' boarding at that age though

I'm 24 and still skateboard regularly. The one thing I have noticed is that as I get older, falling hurts more and for longer :( I don't bounce like I used to lol

bam margera, and the rest of the CKY crew are shit.!

those dudes pioneered so much stuff in their day.

Jay is that a pic at south banks? i've not skated there in years. the london scenes always been good for rollerblading, spent many a day at canary wharf before it all got capped / covered in security. they've built a load of new concrete parks all over the city recently

also, that red rail is at stoke? that's a steep rail man, props for that!

I don't board, but i've got love for it when i see it done well. you can pick a seasoned boarded out of a crowd, they just flow smoothly and make it look good.

The middle pic is South Bank, yes.

Also, the red rail is Stoke and scary as fuck! It is so damn steep!

I'm 22 and in the same boat, plus if I hurt myself now I have to factor work and bills into the equation whereas when I was younger I would just get a few days off school and love it. Still good fun though. Anybody who says skateboarding is 'gay' obviously fell flat on their back on the first attempt and gave up trying.

EDIT: Skegness Plaza ftw ^

Definitely recommend it. Me and a few mates camped there for 3 days. At the time it was the biggest plaza in Europe. 6am and we had Europes biggest plaza to ourselves :y:

haha yeah, when we went the bowl was wet and BMXers were bombing about in it

You ever seen saffron waldon dude? it's a proper mission for you i'd guess. the bowls there are quality though, always some old skool boarders there who've been around years. I think one or two are sponsered by santa cruz that go there.

EK's shite. Its more for BMXing.

Livingston has a decent indoor park with a vert ramp currently being built.

Is livingston the place with the infamous outdoor concrete bowls too?

most of England is pretty wank for indoor parks unless you live near rampworx / bones. :(
