okay this is gunna be so random coming for me, but anyway, ive been really getting into working out but i dont feel like im doing enough. i've lost 17lb in roughly 3 months and lost 5 inch's round my body in the last month alone.
would post my transformation pics, but there's too many pervs :homme:

I've been looking into insanity/p90x and the results look pretty impressive, was just wondering if anyone had any experiences/opinions on these kind of workouts?? I guess most people on here want to be big, but thought it was worth an ask :)

Also wondering wether it'd be worth me just doing a bit of strength training with the cardio i do already, will this compliment all the cardio for the results i want, or am i going to end up looking like a butch lesbian?
Would probably like to tone up my triceps more than anything, my biceps are actually not bad under all my fat :A:
Got the weights at home, but i dont even know where to start, anyone suggest any simple-ish exercises for me and how many reps/sets i should be doing?

Look for Jamie Easons Live fit trainer on Bodybuilding.com. I know a few girls who have had good success with it.

Personally when I train girls or In fact anyone who is a beginner to strength training, I give them 6 months of Mark Rippetoes 'starting strength' programme before even thinking about any assistance/isolation work. Something to bear in mind.

well i'm 7 weeks into insanity, have 2 to go and i'm massively impressed with the results. I haven't even done it religiously everyday, or stuck to the diet but i'm really happy with what it's done for my body:)

so if anyone on here's considered it, i highly recommend it for losing body fat and getting fitter.
I haven't really lost any numbers on the scale but looking at before and during pics and how i feel i look, i'm pretty impressed with the difference in such a short space of time :D

Insanity is a good programme! I got a free programme off my mate as they accidently delivered him 2..

Kept it for about a year, did the programme and saw great results then sold it on ebay for £90 winner!!

£90?! What is this thing? I assumed it was a generic diet and training/workout plan. I musts be wrong.

its not a bit of yoga/aerobics if thats what you mean lol, its seriously hard work but yeh essentially its just a workout programme you follow.
think its £99 on amazon and p90x is £110!
i got mine for £30 from china or something though, and as said they sell on ebay for £70+ so i'm happy :A:
i have online links if you'd like a go at one viper? :p

As if you paid money for a training program :panic:

I still think you should have done a progress thread in the photos section...

I'm happy i paid tbh, i like having them on discs and they weren't that expensive. less than a gym membership :homme:

ill give you one progress shot, just to prove it does actually work lol.
this is 5 months though, not just the 3 months of insanity but you get the idea :D its from running and lifting too. think theres a stone and 6-7%ish bf difference in these, the first pic makes me sick looking back and i wasnt even THAT big in reality :panic:

I did start doing SS but I felt like the bar got too heavy to clean off the floor for my squats and I don't like front ones much so I stopped
What I'd do for a squat rack :( lol

I have this rack, can hold 250 kg + easily. There are cheaper options available aswell.

If you don't have access to a rack then you can just do dumbbell squats to increase the weight :y:

I have the insanity and it's brutal! It's very hard to keep doing in 6 days a week with a full time Job but the changes in your body are amazing of you stick to it within a good diet, p90 is more weights than cardio.

Front ones get easier with time, hold the bar with crossed arms if bending your wrists back hurts, its how i do them!

Also looking at your rear shot, youre severley lacking posterior chain work. You need to start really adding in some strength and volume work using deadlifts, single leg straight deadlifts, romainian deadlifts, glute bridges and good mornings!

I hope I'm not too out of shape as I play 5-a-side football twice a week.

Will get cracking on it tonight.

The problem I will have though is the fact that I play footy on a Tuesday and Wednesday so can't see me doing any of the routines on those days.

i heard p90x was more boring than insanity, and i do weights afterwards anyway so i wasnt that fussed by it, might give it a try now im done with this and dont know what to do next :( lol
i do ab ripper X from it once a week as i prefer it to insanity's cardio abs though. does wonders for me :D

yeh, i still have a lot of bodyfat so i do look slightly weak and pathetic atm lol,
trouble with insanity is it works your legs a hell of a lot, so after leg day i usually end up having at least two days off from it, can barely walk up the stairs let alone jump round the living room :p now i've stopped this i'll probably try harder again though.
i have really chubby thighs, and my quads are getting quite big, yet because of my fat on top, they look even chunkier :( really puts me off working them harder, i cant seem to shift any bf anymore

Your bum looks better in the before. Need junk in dat trunk

i have compression shorts on so you cant really tell what my arse looks like now, but i much prefer it :A:
where have you downloaded p90x from? :)

seriously, i thought i was fit before i started but it KILLED me, i was forever taking breaks. you'll probably still beat my fit test scores, i sucked so bad at the start lol
i still cant get through the month 2 workouts without a pre-workout supplement ha

You should keep on with your workout to maintain your figure. Maybe not do it as often though.

Try cycling if you want to work on your legs.

I am, which means i will get lucky and have an epic body after a month.. Hopefully.
I will tell you pretty much what you have to do, don't think i can send you 8gb worth of files though lol

Pirate bay.. 8.2Gb lol, says 5 hours to download, but its up and down between 5 and 15 hours.. So probably start on thursday or something

I'm probs going to go swimming during mine aswell, just want a routine i can do at home, cba with spending all my time at the gym, because i don't want to be "big", just fit.. If you get my gist
