black/orange vtr

Ok first of all hello everyone, after selling my vtr engined mango west last 4 years ago I've had about 25 cars, I sold my scooby and Mazda and bought the misses a new car so I've now treated myself to a black mk2 vtr, it has orange wheels spoiler and mirrors and has the website stickers on it, club member? From what I cn gather it has a decat, aftermarket ecu updated injectors and air filter, that's what I can see would love some history on car y137 mro. I have a few plans for it so will get a project thread up soon. Also my old reg was s476hob if anyone has any info on it

im now making progress on my car already, and shes now off the road :(.

i put a mk1 downpipe on to act as a decat which meant i had to remove the lambda, cut it in half so the hole was pluged as a temp measure, however when messing about at the weekend trying to fit my 421 the exhaust was removed and put back on by a friend who dindnt tighten the lambda so today it vibrated loose touch the filter cover, melted it and blasted my oil everywhere, so i am now converting to a mk1 filter sooner than i thought and using my other car.....pics in a mo

4 2 1 manifold now on and oil filter moved just ordered a set of 60mm springs which will be on this week got a few plans but its all dependent on time at the minute but should be loads of improvements in the coming months

its a fact black+orange=win

hopefully my 60mm springs will be here this week then i can get on with lowering it a bit more, plus new track rods, bottom ball joints, and drop links plus an intrsting bonnet if i win my auctions..... also will have a set of standard and 30mm springs if anyone wants to make an offer

got some work done to the car last few weeks and thought i should post an update:

-relocated oul filter
-installed 4-2-1 manifold and straight through pipe, still on standard backbox which im hoping to change next.
-put a battery cover on
-painted rocker cover as previous owner made a mess of it, also replaced rocker gasket as it was leeking
- replaced starter motor as the solonoid went

also striped out the rear and shes now lowered 60/80

just moved house so haventr had chance to do any work to the car however i picked some gti seats and a new backbox up this week so im going fitting them now, pics to follow

Managed to clean car up this weekend, got my half leathers fitted and my exhaust, snatched them for a bargain at £60 for both off a lad whose breaking his also got two new tyres on the front and gave her a good clean

Doing gearbox and slam panel today, its cold and wet and im not happy lol stripped everything off yesterday

Bit of an update, fitted bigger front brakes off a 307 xsi, because of this needed bigger wheels to accommodate the calipers so went n got myself some vts wheels, also painted the wheels, my spoiler, grill and mirror caps satin black and put my standard back box on as car was well too loud as I wake all the neibours up at 5.30 when I leave for work so car is now all black for that stealth look :) try and get pics tomoz
