Friend of mine wanted rid so i bought it for £200, needs some work but not really that bad. Last MOT just had an advisory for exhaust which was fixed straight away. Silly things like body kit clips and loose spoiler.

How does the rear spoiler come off??
I tried undoing with a hex key/tool but cant shift it:n:

Things done so far:

Battery on charge
Quick wash
Undersealed rear end where spare wheel goes
Took wiper motor out and cleaned the recess
Re-wrapped the wiper motor cables
Spray gunk'ed the engine, didnt do a lot if im honest :n:

To do list: Get an MOT

Take of front bumper/side skirts/body trim off and re-attach properly
Get another passenger door
Get another bonnet
Get another O/S rear light (cracked)
Remove rear spoiler to re-attach properly
Fix headlight bracket (cracked)
Full service/cambelt/water pump
Clean interior
Get a radio/CD with iPod connection

Most are just annoying things, a few days work and it should be sorted.

I put a coat of sealer in the recess to prevent rusting, noticed the paint was wearing thin

Yeah shame it got a bit knocked about.

Looks like someone has tried to tighten the screws up already and it doesn't look good:wall:

I'll have to cut them off with a grinder i guess otherwise

grinder sounds drastic either take it to a grage n get them to use an impact tool grinder may shatter the glass wwith vibrations

an impact driver is even more likely to break the glass......
they are iirc a t30torx

if your careful with a grinder it wouldnt be hard to get off

Cut many things off with a grinder before, best way really.
Cover surrounding area with duck tape and carefully grind off, better than any sharp sudden bangs.

Been busy on the car today, think its easier and better to buy some decent wings and arches so took the ones on it off.
Its obviously had a minor knock at some point as nothing lined up, the passenger door rubbed the wing and the kit is loose. Annoying but needs to be addressed.

i have a small bag of these clips i think will dig them out and let you know

7th June 2012, 18:12
also the clips you need to hold the trims on are cheapest from dealer rather than ebay, they are 12p each and a bag of 50 is like £7 where as on ebay you will pay about £3.50 for 10

oooop :wall: hahahhaaa

Ah well, lesson learned. Although i got them through a dealer via eBay?????

I guess having no working car, add bus fair (£5) onto £7 from dealer it adds up

Cheers though dude:y:

Having trouble getting 2 front wings, arches, bonnet and boot lid in black to save spraying so i may do something different.

Satin blue or red with the black effect
