In my opinion the only thing that really gets rid of a belly is loads of cardio just run and run. Add weights in there too Maybe 3 times a week which will Help increase your metabolism. Wouldnt bother with sit ups and stomach exercises untill you have lost a bit of the belly fat

ha, join the gym first eh. Cut the shit out then take it one step at a time. If you go from a fat bastard eating anything you like to training 5 times a week with a great diet you will probably lose your mind.

Just do a full body workout a couple of times a week with plenty of cardio. The weight should drop off. You might need a sport bra for them moobs mind...

To be fair he will see a major difference in the first month. The water weight will go quick enough. Then going from doing no exercise to this will be a big shock to the system. Shock the system and it will respond, muscle growth, fat loss etc.

Id expect to see great results in the first month, its the following months that get harder and harder.

This might sound a bit gay/incesteous to those vulgar minded bastards in the community, but it's relevant. My mum got to like size 14, decided she hated her look, so ran everyday as far as she could, (not very far to start, but gradually increased distance obv as she got fitter) and ate more healthily, not as much shite etc, no drink in the week bar maybe a glass of wine a night. About 6-7 months later she was like a size 8-10 and lost a 1/3 of her body weight nearly.. Now she's running like 10-14k a day and is a size 8, plus she can eat abit more freely now to keep her weight in check.

She asks if i wanna start but im like fook that, mum showing me up at running... Lol.

No, concentrate on big compound lifts and interval training. Leave the machines for the fattys who never changes shape.

Fasted SS cardio (40mins-1hr) and some HIIT cardio (20mins) after weight training. Works for me.

Eat less (or less of the wrong foods) and excercise more.

When I was 18, I reduced my calorie intake down to like 1300 per day and did a 5k run every other day. Lost 2 stone in the space of a year and have kept it off since :).

I still binge drink every other weekend and have the odd KFC, plus my diet is not perfect but as long as I excercise then I never put on weight.

So you starved yourself then ran long distance? Sounds like a great way to lose muscle.

He said losing weight, there was no mention of building muscle.

I was 2 stone overweight at the time and what I did worked.

I don't want to live like a monk, never drinking and eating 12 egg whites for breakfast. I am still healthy and the right weight.

Think you'll find he said he wanted to lose the belly, implying he wanted to lose the fat. Not starve himself and get rid of any muscle mass and some fat then look like your average skinny rat.

I don't know any fitness practitioners or bodybuilders who are or who live like 'monks' ?

You think starving yourself and indulging in the odd takeaway makes you healthy ? When was the last time you had blood, liver and heart tests ?

I drink every now and again, follow a moderately strict diet to reach my goals and feel far better for it.

I didn't mention building muscle either, its holding onto your muscle while cutting which is the hard part.

As long as your happy that's all that matters. We must share different goals.

Funny you should say that, I had a full blood count and liver and kidney enzyme and an ecg for a recent knee op. All came back fine :).

I dont starve myself, im perfectly full on 1800 cals per day and i dont lose weight. I gave up on the gym, a mainly healthy diet and a run three times a week have kept me in shape for the past several years.

You are all entitled to your opinions but some peoples answers always seem to be 'bulk this cut that, dont drink, eat egg whites for breakfast'. Fuck that, i can still enjoy my life and stay in shape.

most of the advice is hardcore because we take it seriouslly, and tbh most posts about losing weight etc are from people thatll never lose it, hence the monk appearance,

however being fit is a lifestyle change, not just a 'thing' you do to lose weight, which women dont understand lol

To be fair I never even asked your weight. you could be 9 stone so 1800kcals would be fine.

I enjoy my life, I enjoy what I eat. I enjoy being below 10% bf and 16st 9. I will especially enjoy it when I'm in Ibiza in 6 weeks :y:

running, compound exercises, HIIT, diet... All nonsense!!

I've got the solution for you!

STOP EATING!

And the weight will just melt away!

Along with some vital functions but hey who cares, as long as those moobs stop bouncing

If you do just stop eating i.e cut down to a tiny amout of food you will not lose very much fat at all (although you will lose weight). Your body will go into shock thinking it is getting not enough food and then it will eat away at muscle before it uses body fat.
