On Friday my accelerator cable snapped I managed to get home by wedging some paper I found into the throttle body (Genius Idea!!!)

The fact that is snapped was no real suprise as it was the original Vtr cable which was modified to fit the Vts engine.

I already had one of those universal cables sitting in the garage ready to replace the vtr and had a go at fitting after a few hours messing about on Friday night I had managed to get everything threaded through the bulk head but couldn't finish it as it was too dark.

I've just been out today trying to finish it and the bloody thing snaps:evil:

The wheelie bin took the brunt of my anger and bloke jogging past was just laughing at me whilst I went mental.

Not impressed at all I've only just stopped swearing, I'm getting the proper Vts cable this time.

ARRRGGGHHH!!!!!

You can't get a VTS cable even from citroen!.... they just give you the gay universal thingy!.... absolutely gay!... get one from the scrappers and I'll fit it for you Sunday... if only to save the back ache from lying on the sill lol

I'm going to make some calls tomorrow and see if I can track one down but if you can find me a VTS in a scrap yard and I'll get one?

Well I can't but I'm sure if you ring some ther'll be one... what bit of the universal one snapped?
Try peugeot for a 106 gti cable!... they always have sensors that I can't get from shitroen lol

Try peugeot for a 106 gti cable

Thats a better plan, I cant imagine I'll find a VTS in any scrapyards in the next couple of days but I will make a few calls.

Like I say... peugeot usually have all the bits that citroen should stock but don't... only downside is you may need to give them a chassis number, but I reckon if you explain the problem i.e. make him feel like he has one over on shitroen lol... then he'll probably sort you out

Got a pug cable fitted it without to much hassle, believe it or not the cars is a lot more responsive and the kangarooin has stopped.

I haven't drove it for a week I forgot how quick it actually was.

It raised a few eyes going down my local test track at full whack but its all good fun.

Lovin the VTS!!!! :)
