Good Evening all,
I posted for some ago advice a few months ago and didn't get much luck so im here again
about 4 months ago i managed to charge my battery on reverse polarity and fuck the electrics on my car not my fault dodgey charger stating it was charging the wrong way round???
so my ecu locked itself and i had to send it off to be unlocked and the imob to be canceled.
after this happened my dials have to dreaded freeze. as people have posted ive tryed disconnecting the battery and it works for a short while but then sticks again
i at the same time as the ecu got unlocked i changed the igniton barrel (as i was told it need a who lock set so i changed the ecu and the ignition) turns out my old ecu wasnt fried after all and it reset fine at the ecu place
also after this happened im no longer getting a perm live to my cd player so it only works once the igniton is on
the digi part of the dials is working and all the lights dont seem affected
after spending 100's and 100's sorting out the head gaskit/ecu im not really into buying new dials if there no needed also dont really fancy fitting a dif loom as ive not really got the time
an auto eleccy had to also change the wire from the ecu to the fuel pump as it wasn't priming there was no power going to it so i added a fuse and a new wire to make it work
im thinking of getting new battery soon anyway due to the wrong charge but im not convinced this will solve the problem
if anyone could shed some light on the subject id be so thankfull
to some it up i can pretty surly say it wont be a connection at the rear of the dial as ive not touched them and there worked fine before im pretty sure all the fuses are fine (would the ecu reset trick work if a fuse was out???)
so through process of elimination im thinking it might be either battery,wiring,dials maybe even the ecu but i would of thought it would of been picked upon once id of sent it off
would pluging it in to a diag machine read any electrical faults
im really at the end of my teather with it i love my saxo and i really really dont wanna scrap it as there is other mechanical problems with it im working on also :(
